Turn the speed control knob to the
left of the center position: The loco-
motive will go backwards. The farther
the speed control knob is turned to
the left from the center position, the
slower the locomotive will go.
The direction-dependent headlights /
marker lights and the smoke genera-
tor are on continuously in operation
with Delta, as long as there is voltage
present in the track. All of the other
functions are turned off! The sound
effects module can be turned on
manually.
Important:
You should not change the direc-
tion of travel until the model has
come to a stop.
Caution: Never operate the smoke
generator for a long time without fil-
ling it up with smoke fluid. Otherwise,
you may damage the smoke genera-
tor. If you are going to operate the
locomotive for longer periods of time
without filling the smoke generator
with smoke fluid, then the smoke
generator must be removed to pro-
tect it from damage.
2.5.2 Running the Locomotive with
AC Power (32 VA Transformer)
Suitable train control transformer:
Märklin 32 VA transformer
The switch in the tender for the
conventional mode of operation
must be set at "AC" (see page 24).
Running the locomotive with the
32 VA transformer:
Turn the speed control knob to the
right: The locomotive runs forwards.
The farther you turn the knob to the
right from the zero position, the faster
the locomotive runs.
Turn the speed control knob all the
way to the left to the "0" setting. The
farther the knob is turned to the left,
the slower the locomotive runs. At
the "0" setting the locomotive comes
to a stop.
2
Operation
Important: Depending on the acce-
leration delay that has been set, the
amount of time for the locomotive to
reach a new speed will vary. In princi-
ple, the braking delay will not work in
this mode of operation.
Turn the speed control knob to the
left past the zero point: The model
will change the direction of travel.
The direction-dependent headlights
and the smoke generator are on con-
tinuously in operation with AC power
as long as there is sufficient voltage
present in the track. All other func-
tions remain turned off!
Important: You should not change
the direction of travel until the
model has come to a stop.
