Operation
Tip: The locomotive whistle can only
be activated when it has been turned
off beforehand. It is best if you accu-
stom yourself to turn the locomotive
whistle on and immediately off again
by pressing the function button twice.
The functions on the additional function
decoder cannot be turned on until the
address assigned to this decoder has
been entered. The following proce-
dure is an example of how to do this:
1. Enter the address in the same
manner as when you first select a
locomotive. The functions can now
be turned on, but the locomotive
cannot be controlled.

2. First, press the button "F" on the
locomotive controller. Now, enter
the new address. In this state, you
can now control the locomotive,
the headlights / marker lights
(function / off) and you can now
activate the other functions on
the function decoder. To do this,
please also make note of the
specifications in the instructions
for the 6021 Control-Unit 6021 or
the 6036 locomotive controller.
3. Call up the function decoder on a
separate locomotive controller. All
of the controllable functions for the
locomotive will be available to you
simultaneously from the two loco-
motive controllers.
Controllable Functions with the
Function Decoder:
f1: Smoke generator on/off
f2: Running gear lights on/off
f3: Engineer's cab lighting on/off
Caution: Never turn the smoke gene-
rator on for a long time without filling
it up with smoke fluid. Otherwise, you
may damage the smoke generator.
2.5.1.3 Running the Locomotive
with Delta
Suitable Delta controller:
6607 Delta-Station with the 6608
hand controller. The 6000/6001/6002/
6003 transformer should always be
used to power the Delta-Station.
The locomotive decoder must be set
to one of the 4 possible addresses
24, 60, 72, or 78.
Running the locomotive: Select the
locomotive address with the hand
controller. The locomotive is stopped
when the control knob on the hand
controller is at the center position.
Turn the speed control knob to the
right of the center position: The loco-
motive will go forwards. The farther
the speed control knob is turned to
the right from the center position, the
faster the locomotive will go.
