For the POLYLUX light in the dentist element, different
exposure times can be programmed for any user A, B or
C in the three function levels E1, E2 and E3:
•
Select function level E1, E2 or E3 for the handpiece
removed.
•
Set the exposure time.
•
Actuate the programming key until three successive
acoustic signals sound. Then put the handpiece
back in its receptacle.
Programming is completed now.
The POLYLUX is suitable for the polymerization of com-
posites that harden under the influence of light.
The hardening time recommended by the manufacturer
of the material should be observed.
An initial value can be determined by curing a test filling.
The action of light in the oral cavity must be limited to the
area requiring clinical treatment.
The light exit surface of the handpiece must be brought
as close as possible to the material to be polymerized.
CAUTION
The light exit surface must not contact the tooth filling at
the beginning of the hardening process.
A built-in thermal switch protects the reflector lamp
against overheating.
This switch may respond following several successive
long-term exposure periods.
The lamp can be switched on again as soon as it has
cooled down to its operating temperature.
When the filling has hardened, readjust the brightness of
the unit lamp with the composite key in the assistant pro-
gram or with the ON / OFF key of the lamp.
WARNING
Do not direct the light into the eyes of the patient.
Do not look directly into the light.
