12.1 Instrument dialog: Electric motor
Changeover switch for operation as
direct starter or speed controller foot switch.

Motor speed range:
200 to 40000rpm.
The motor is started by actuating the foot switch.
Operation as direct starter (key appears with a normal
frame):
When actuating the foot switch, you will be working with
the fixed value programmed for the motor.
Operation as speed controller (key appears with a
bold frame):
An expanding triangle appears. It indicates the regula-
tion of the speed during motor operation.
The foot switch operates as a speed controller within a
range of 0 to the programmed speed.
Programming of functions
For each motor, different functions can be programmed
for any user (A, B or C; see Neutral dialog 0 or assistant
dialog, page 31 and 32) in the three function levels E1,
E2 and E3:
CAUTION
Prior to any change of user A, B or C, all instruments
must be placed back in their receptacles!
• Remove motor from its receptacle.
The electric motor instrument dialog appears.
• Select the desired function level E1, E2 or E3.
• Set the desired maximum motor speed.
• Select the desired functions by actuating the corre-
sponding keys.
