The pump is supplied with fittings:
1" GAS for 50Hz versions
1" NPT for 60Hz versions (on request also GAS)
If a fitting is also used on suction, it must be of the non deformable type.
4.2 Electrical connections
Ensure that the mains voltage is the same as that shown on the motor data plate.
The correct operating voltage and frequency are indicated on the pump data plate.
Never make any connection on the terminal card if the electric power supply has not been deactivated for at least 5 minutes
4.3 Starting
DO NOT START THE PUMP WITHOUT HAVING COMPLETELY FILLED IT WITH FLUID.
Before starting, check that the pump has been regularly primed, filling it completely with clean water
through the hole provided, after having removed the filling cap, located on the pump body. The filling cap
must then be accurately screwed back on.
Connect the power cable to the mains.
4.4 Starting the pump after a long period of inactivity
Using a screwdriver, inserted in the hole in the centre of the fan cover, it is possible to free the rotor if the pump has been still for a long time.
If the pump has been drained, it must be filled with fluid before starting.

5. ACTIVE SYSTEM CONTROL AND REGULATION PANELS

5.1 Front control and regulation panel (Fig.1)
ACTIVE is managed by a front control panel, located on the cover, which offers:
-
the possibility of checking the pump operating status by means of the indicating lights:
Green ON - Red ALARM,
-
the possibility of calibrating the Start pressure,
with the pressure boosting function, the possibility of calibrating also the Stop pressure in the case of sets of 2 pumps.
-
5.2 Internal regulation panel (Fig.2)
Ref. Function
Trimmer for regulating the Start pressure.
For the pressure boosting function, in the case of sets of 2 pumps:
1
- Trimmer for regulating the Start pressure in the Master pump.
- Trimmer for regulating the Stop pressure in the Slave pump.
Dip-Switch for selecting functions.
2
In the case of sets of 2 pumps, the Dip Switches must be set on the same functions.
3
Internal green led indicating communication between Master pump and Slave pump in the case of sets of 2 pumps
Green led = FIXED LIGHT with pump fed and with no flow of water.
4
Green led = BLINKING LIGHT with pump fed and with flow of water.
Red led = ALARM
External input connection faston for connecting either a minimum pressure switch or a minimum level float.
Attention! In the case of sets of 2 pumps, connect the 2 external inputs in parallel, respecting the faston diameter!
Electrical characteristics:
5
Current voltage: 5V - lower than 1mA
For the pressure boosting and pressure and flow switch function: NC
For the RWS Function (rainwater collection): NO
6
RJ socket (6 pole) for 232 serial communication between Master pump and Slave pump in the case of sets of 2 pumps.
Electrical connection for auxiliary relay.
7
(remote alarm relay for Active System or 3-way valve feeding relay for RWS).
8
Mechanical fixing support for auxiliary relay.
9
3-way terminal for optional relay contact.
Optional relay for the RWS Function (rainwater collection)
10
Common NO – NC.
11
Electric supply connection to the card.
12
Electric supply connection to the pump motor.
