In accordance with DIN EN 161 "Automatic shut-off valves for
gas burners and gas appliances" a dirt trap must be connected
upstream of the valve and prevent the insertion of a 1 mm plug
gauge.
If the authorisation also applies to stainless steel housings, the
same type of dirt trap must be attached in front of the angle seat
control valve.

installation

If used in an aggressive environment, we recommend
conveying all free pneumatic connections into a neutral
atmosphere with the aid of a pneumatic hose.
Warning!
risk of injury from improper installation!
Assembly with unsuitable tools or non-observance of the tightening
torque is dangerous as the device may be damaged.
• For installation use an open-end wrench, never a pipe wrench.
• Observe the tightening torque (see following table "Tightening
torques of valve housing / nipples").

The following installation steps can be carried out only in
connection with the appropriate activation unit.
Possible activation units are:
Position controller Type 8692 and 8696
Process controller Type 8693

Remove the dummy plugs, if present, from the air discharge
connection 3 of the activation unit.
