Sterilizable Fiber Preparation Set
Instructions for Use
Sequence
1. Place the individual components of the fiber preparation set in the cleaning basket. Using the intended
storage set (Gebrüder Martin, catalogue number 55-803-76-04) is recommended. Ensure that the
products do not touch each other.
2. Place the storage set into the W/D.
3. Start program.
4. Remove products from the W/D after the end of program.
5. Check and pack products as soon as possible after removal.

Evidence of the basic suitability of the products (stripping tools: 79-116-40-04, 79-116-60-04, 79-116-80-04)
for effective automated cleaning and disinfection was provided by an independent, officially accredited and
recognized (§ 15 (5) German Medical Devices Act) test laboratory using the W/D G 7836 CD (cleaning
program: shortened Vario TD program (without disinfection), Miele & Cie. GmbH & Co., Gütersloh,
Germany) and the pre-cleaning and cleaning agent neodisher MediClean 0.5% (Dr. Weigert GmbH & Co. KG,
Hamburg, Germany) and the neutralizer neodisher Z, 0.1% (Dr. Weigert GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg,
Germany). The procedure described above was taken into account during the test procedure.

Checks and Maintenance

5.5.1

Inspection

The integrity of the product must be confirmed by visual inspection before further use. The inspection
release and packing into a sterile barrier system releases the product for the next application.
• The products must be macroscopically clean, i.e. free from visible contamination, after each cleaning
process.
5.5.2

Maintenance

No maintenance is needed for the fiber preparation set.
5.6

Packaging for sterilization

Approved sterilization packaging (e.g. conforming to EN 868, ISO 11607) must be used for sterilization,
subsequent transportation and storage.
