9.3.5 dISINFECTING ThE MaChINE
Switch the machine off via the on/off main switch and disconnect the plug from the mains.
• Spray the steel surfaces of the machine with an alcohol-based disinfectant. Do not spray the product on
electric parts or in the ventilation slots of the machine.
• Let the disinfectant sit for a few minutes.
• Wipe with a cloth soaked in drinking water and then dry well with a clean cloth.

9.4 TROUbLEShOOTING

PRObLEM
The appliance terminates the
programmed work cycle but wi-
thout sealing the bag or without
activating the vacuum pump.
The appliance enters "alarm
status" when it is powered on.
The work cycle in progress is
terminated without sealing the
bag or without operation of
the vacuum pump; the vacuum
chamber is depressurised and
the lid reopens.
Machine not working.

POSSIbLE CaUSES
• Vacuum pump or sealing tran-
sformer overheating.
• Appliance overheating.
• Safety control circuit fault.
• Machine Off.
• No power supply.
• Machine damage.
• Vacuum pump performance in-
sufficient.
• Cover gasket worn.
• pressure exerted on plexiglas
cover during appliance start up
insufficient.
• For appliance with gas option:
gas function active.
• Pump not working.
• Cover gasket worn.
• hinges out of alignment.
• Gas spring damaged.
SOlUtION
• Wait approximately 15 or 20 minutes for the
appliance to cool; at the end of this period the
vacuum chamber will be depressurised and
the work cycle can be resumed.
• Switch off the appliance and then switch it
on again after an interval of between 15 and
20 minutes.
• Contact an authorised service centre.
• Switch on the machine using the ON/OFF
main switch.
• Insert the plug in a socket (check the volta-
ge!).
• Check power cable to make sure it is intact.
• Check fuse PF1 on the power board to make
sure they are intact and inserted correctly
(contact a service centre).

• Increase the value using the UP and DOWN
keys.
• Check oil.
• Check pump exhaust filter (contact a service
centre).
• Replace cover gasket.
• Lower cover with both hands, exerting more
pressure.
• Deactivate the gas function.
