Chapter 6, Warranty, Maintenance and Troubleshooting
1. Turn OFF the power.
2. Remove the battery pack from the instrument by removing the
bottom two screws on the back of the case.
3. Remove the four remaining case mounting screws from the
back of the case.
4. Disconnect the pump outlet tube; place a small, flat
screwdriver at the base of the tube and gently pry the tube
away from the barb.
5. Note the routing of the tubing within the back case. It is very
important that the tube be re-routed in this position during
re-assembly.
6. Remove the firewall filter and discard.
7. Install the new firewall filter with flow arrow pointing toward the
pump and drive inlet. Ensure that the tube from the pump
outlet is routed to the inside of the firewall filter.
8. Position the rear case 90 degrees up from the front case; route
the pump outlet tube between the pump and the connector
circuit board and connect it to the barb protruding through
the main circuit board.
9. Replace and secure the back of the case with the four
mounting screws. Take care to route the tubing properly and
to correctly mate the main and connector boards.
10. Replace the battery pack and two mounting screws securing
the battery pack.
11. Completely recalibrate the Orion G Multigas and Leak
Detector.
Verification of calibration response is required; otherwise,
the instrument will not perform as required, and persons
who rely on this product for their safety could sustain serious
personal injury or death.
