Registering the controller in the ROHDE myKiln app (access code)
The access code of the controller is required to register the controller in the ROHDE myKiln app. The access code is
located on the back of the controller. Each controller with an integrated module for wireless data transmission has its
own unique access code.
8.3.
USB port
8.3.1.
General safety information
PROHIBITION
Do not connect any other devices, except a USB flash drive, to this USB port.
No devices such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop may be plugged into this USB port to
charge the battery.
8.3.2.
General description
The port allows a USB flash drive to be connected to the controller. The files with all the relevant process data are
generated with a time stamp and can be stored on a computer for data logging. Data acquisition via USB is mainly
used with ROHDEgraph (see Section 8.4). It can also be used to read configuration and user-program data files into
the controller (by the manufacturer).
8.3.3.
Interface properties
• USB versions 1.0 or 2.0 are suitable for recording the measured values.
• USB 3.0 is not compatible.
• The USB flash drive must be formatted to FAT32 or FAT16.
• NTFS format is not suitable.
• The data logging module has been tested with common USB flash drives with storage capacities of 4 GB, 8
GB, 16 GB and 32 GB.
• The "USB flash drive plugged into USB port" indicator on the top of the housing confirms connection with a
compatible USB flash drive.
