6.2.2.
Kiln heating/cooling too slowly
• If the control unit is programmed to heat the kiln at a faster rate than the kiln is capable of, then the control
unit will turn on full power then wait until the kiln temperature has risen to the correct temperature before
proceeding to the next ramp or program segment.
• If the control unit is programmed to cool the kiln at a faster rate than the kiln is capable of, then the control
unit will apply zero power and then wait until the kiln temperature has cooled to the correct temperature
before proceeding to the next ramp or program segment, i.e. once the kiln has reached the desired
temperature.
6.2.3.
Querying the energy consumed (Info button
The controller calculates the amount of energy required by the kiln. The benefit for the user is that during the firing the
energy consumed so far can be displayed in kWh and at the end of the firing the total energy consumed for the firing
can be displayed in kWh. The consumption values can be called up until a new program is started in the controller.
Before the controller can display the required amount of energy in kilowatts, parameter no. 14 (see Section 10) must
be set with the kiln output.
To check the required amount of energy in kWh (consumption values):

Memory
As soon as the controller is turned off, all programs and necessary data are saved and retained.
Description
The maximum temperature of the current program is displayed.
The energy consumed in kWh is displayed; for this, parameter P14 must be set and
entered correctly.
The current setpoint of the control is displayed.
The controller returns to the initial display and shows the current temperature again.

Description
The controller can automatically continue a firing after a power failure.
The program start is delayed by the remaining program delay when the mains voltage
returns.
The controller continues the ramp it had been executing.
The controller ramps back up to the soak temperature at the correct ramp rate and
then applies the remaining soak period.
