Timer-Recording
Radio Programs
You can set the timer to record
the radio at
a certain time. This timer works only once
for each setting. The volume level is
automatically set to MIN.
You can record with a Sony MD recorder
or a DAT deck with the AU BUS. Be sure
to connect the equipment to the AU BUS
jack.
Before setting the timer
1 Make sute the clock is set correctly. If
not, "Set clock!" appears and the display
changes to the clock setting display.

2 Tune in the preset station, and if
necessary,
select the sound effects that
you want to record.
4. Press TIMER SET.
The indicators for the ONCE, DAILY.
REC TIMER and "Select Timer"
indication flash.
Z Press REC TIMER 40 that the
CONTROLLER indicator and the
ENTER/NEXT indicator fash.
"ON TIME" appears and the hour digits
flash in the display.
S Set the hour you want to stast recording
by tuming CONTROLLER (-/ +), then

same way. "OFF TIME" appears and the
hour digits flash again.
4 set the hour you want to stop recording,
by turning CONTROLLER (-/ +), then

Insert a MiniDisc into the MD recorder.
To record on a digital audio tape
Insert a digital aucko tape into the DAT
deck.
Set the TIMER switch of the DAT deck
to OFF.
& press SYSTEM POWER
to tum off the
system.
To check the preset items
Press ONCE, DAILY or REC TIMER so
that the preset items eppear for 3 seconds,
then the onginal display retums (Press
again when the preset items do not appear.)
To change the timer settings
Repeat steps I to 9.
To cancel the timer
Press ONCE, DAILY or REC TIMER so
that "TIMER OFF" appears for 3 seconds,
then the original display tetums.
To activate
the timer again
Press ONCE. DAILY o¢ REC TIMER and
make sure that the preset items appear in
the display. After 3 seconds, the display
returns to the clock display.
if the power is on at the preset time
The sound source will automatically change
to the tuner, but tuner recording wal not
start.
Note
You cannot set the tuner if the temer-on
and -off temes ace the same.
