6 After you have finished making all
adjustments, press TEST TONE to shut
off the test tone.
Notes
The test tone 1s produced only when the
D-SUR mode is selected on the DSP
menu.
eWhen another piece of equipment {such as
a television set or a power amplifier) is
connected to the center output jack, the
volume contro] for that piece of
equipment also affects the volume.
Adjusting
the Delay Time
The "delay time" is the length of the delay
between the surround sound produced by
the front speakers and the surround
sound
produced
by the rear speakers.
The delay
time can be adjusted in a range from
1S msec to 30 msec.
To obtain
a natural feel to the surround
sound, the delay should be made shorter in
a large room or when the speakers are
positioned far away, and longer in a small
room or when the speakers are positioned
nearby.
The delay should also be adjusted
for movies
ot recordings of live concerts to
enjoy the full effect.
1 Press DSP MENU to display the Digital
Sound Menu, select "D-SUR" by
pressing CURSOR CONTROL «a8. pe.
Aor ¥, then press ENTER.
2 Select Pro Logic mode with the DSP
CONTROL.
(The delay time cannot be adjusted in
3CH.LOGIC mode; select 2 mode other
than SCH. LOGIC mode.)
3 Press DELAY TIME + /- to adjust the
— time. The tear speaker indicators
To listen to Surround
Sound
4 Press DSP MENU to display the Digital
Sound Menu, select "D-SUR" by
pressing CURSOR CONTROL

A or ¥, then press ENTER.
2 Select the source that you want to listen
to or watch and then begin playback.
To turn off Dolby Pro Logic
Press DSP MENU to display the Digital
Sound Menu, select a setting other than
"D-SUR" by pressing CURSOR CONTROL

Note
The AJ operation cannot be used while
D-SUR is selected.
