Although the screen saver display appears
and the icons flash if you do not press any
of the buttons for more than a minute, the
setting procedure is not interrupted. Press
CURSOR CONTROL, ENTER, or
CANCEL, whichever is appropriate, and
continue with the setting procedure.

Making a Personal
Audio Emphasis File
(user memory)
You can create a personal file of audio
patterns and store them in the memory of
the player. Later, call up an audio pattem to
play a favorite tape, CD, of cadio program.
Create up to eight audio files. Use the
buttons on the unit to do this operation.
14 Obtain the sound effect you want by
using the Digital Parametric Equalizer,
Digital Presence Surround and Digital
Dynamic Sound effects.
2 Press MEMORY.
The CURSOR CONTROL indicator and
the ENTER indicator flash, and the icons
appear in the display.

The icons in which adjustments have
already been stored are depicted with
their lids closed.
3 Select the letter of the icon (A through
H) in which you want to store settings
by using CURSOR CONTROL.

The adjusted sound effects are stored
under the selected letter. The selected
User Memory name appears in the
display, and the settings previously
stored at this memory location are
erased and replaced by the new settings.

point; the unit returns to the state it was in
before you pressed MEMORY in step 2.
To call up settings from the User
Memory
1 Press
DSP MENU.
The CURSOR CONTROL indicator and
the ENTER indicator flash, and the icons
of the Digital Sound Menu appear.
2 Select the icon you want by using
CURSOR CONTROL.
3 Press ENTER.

Although you can change settings that have
been stored,
even in an icon for which the
lid is closed, you cannot just erase the
settings.

indication appears.
