WORKING WITH THE PRODUCT
The cutter is used only for cutting!
Before the work, you should fi rst determine the cutting line.
During the work, always hold the cutter with both hands, with a strong and fi rm grip. The right hand should grasp the rear handle
and the left hand the front one. This arrangement of hands should also be applied by left-handed people.
There should be no body parts in the plane of rotation of the cutting disc (XXII). This will allow reducing the risk of injury if the disc
disintegrates during operation.
The disc should be moved along straight line, moving it forward and backward (XXIII).
While cutting, do not defl ect the disc from the plane of its rotation.
Cutting discs are not adapted to carry lateral loads and may disintegrate during operation.
This poses a threat of serious injury.
Do not exert too much pressure on the disc. Pressure on disc should allow eff ective work of cutting edge.
Do not reach too far, your body posture when working should always allow you to control the tool, also in case of unexpected tool
movement.
When applying the spinning disc to material, prepare yourself for a jerk towards the front of tool caused by the contact of the edge
of disc with material being cut (XXIV).
Do not lean over the product during the work, especially if the cover has been situated in such a position that it does not protect
the upper part of disc.
Whenever possible, use water cooling while cutting. Water pressure in the installation supplying water to the product must stay
within the range specifi ed in the table with technical data. Water installation must be fi tted with a separate valve allowing cutting
off the water supply to the product.
Connect the hose to the product connector using the universal quick coupler. Make sure that the water valve of the product is
closed (XXV) and open the water valve of the installation. Water should not get out of the product.
Start the product and only then open the product water valve. Cooling of the disc should start, which will be visible in the form of
water getting out of the inside of the cutting disc cover.
If no water is getting out of the product or is getting out from a place other than the inside of the cutting blade cover, this indicates
a malfunction and the product operation should be stopped, and then the water installation should be checked for patency and
tightness.
If water cooling is not applied during the work, the hose and connectors should be protected so that it does not come into contact
with the disc and does not interfere with the operation of the product during the work.
Elements being cut should always be properly fastened in order to prevent them from unexpected displacement during cutting.
Please read the information in section: "Warnings related to cutting discs".
Pipes should be cut by running the disc around the circumference (XXVI), not through the cross-section of the pipe.
While cutting, pipes should be secured with wedges. Make sure about the substrate on which the pipe rests, whether it does not
crumble during the work.
In case of diamond discs, they may become blunt during the work. If work with disc becomes less eff ective, sharpen the disc.
To do this, cut the abrasive material, e.g. sandstone, asphalt or aerated concrete.
Be particularly careful when fi nishing the cutting. The cutting disc is losing support in the material being cut which can result in a
jerk or a rebound towards the operator. Reduce the pressure on the disc when cutting is being fi nished.
If water cooling was applied when cutting, dry the disc and the inside of the disc cover. After cutting is fi nished, the disc should be
started at full speed for approx. 30 seconds, the air drift will dry the disc and the inside of the disc cover.
