It is also necessary to ensure a signifi cant diff erence between the idle speed and the speed at which the blade begins to spin. The
recommended idle speed is given in the table with technical data.
Note! If you fail to adjust the idle speed so that the disc stops, contact the authorized service centre of the manufacturer. It is
forbidden to use the product until it is repaired or properly adjusted.
Fuel fi lter maintenance
The fuel fi lter is located inside the fuel tank. Fill the tank with clean fuel, and also take care that impurities do not get into the tank
while refuelling. Impurities limit the performance of the fuel fi lter and can lead to its complete clogging.
The fuel fi lter cannot be cleaned, it must be replaced with a new one.
It is recommended to replace the fuel fi lter at least once a year.
Replacement should be carried out at the authorized service point of the manufacturer.
Air fi lter maintenance
The air fi lter is responsible for the quality of air supplied to the carburettor. Regular maintenance of the air fi lter allows avoiding:
carburettor damage, start-up problems, reduced engine power, excessive wear of engine components, excessive fuel consumption.
The product has been fi tted with two air fi lters, foamed and paper fi lters. Access to fi lters will be obtained by unscrewing two
screws fi xing the air fi lter cover.
One of the screws is located under the label at the place marked with an empty circle (XVIII).
Under the cover you will fi nd the foamed fi lter. The fi lter should be cleaned in lukewarm water with soap, and then rinsed in
lukewarm clean water. Drain water from the fi lter by squeezing it, but not twisting it. Twisting may lead to fi lter damage. The fi lter
should be soaked with special oil intended for air fi lters of internal combustion engines. The fi lter must be completely soaked with
oil. The excess of oil should be drained.
Under the foamed fi lter there is a divider under which a paper fi lters placed (XIX). The air fi lter should be cleaned by shaking it
or careful cleaning it using a jet of compressed air at a pressure not more than 0.3 MPa. The paper fi lter must not be cleaned in
any liquid.
If during the maintenance activities any damage to any of fi lters, e.g. tearing or deformation, is noticed., replace all damaged fi lters
with new ones that are free from damage.
The foamed fi lter should be serviced after every two fuel tanks used.
The paper fi lter should be serviced after a noticeable drop in engine power or every 1-2 weeks.
Ignition plug maintenance
The ignition plug provides a spark necessary to ignite the fuel and air blend in the cylinder.
Incorrect carburettor adjustment, a fuel blend containing too much oil or a dirty air fi lter lead to deposits of fuel combustion prod-
ucts (so-called carbon formation) on the plug.
If problems with starting the engine or uneven running of engine at idle speed are observed, fi rst check the condition of the ignition plug.
The ignition plug electrodes should be cleaned with a copper brush. Also check the clearance between the spark plug electrodes.
The correct clearance is given in illustration (XX).
Before dismantling the plug, remove the air fi lter cover together with the foamed fi lter, as well as the divider above the paper fi lter.
The ignition plug should be unscrewed using a special socket wrench for ignition plugs (XXI).
Other maintenance activities
All vents must be kept patent. Vents should be cleaned by means of a soft brush or using a jet of compressed air jet at a pressure
not more than 0.3 MPa.
Schedule of maintenance activities
The recommended maintenance schedule is shown below. If a product works in severe conditions, e.g. in a high dusty environ-
ment, increase the frequency of maintenance activities.
If any maintenance activity is not described in the manual, it means that this activity should be done at the manufacturer's author-
ized service centre.
Daily
1. Checking the operation of throttle lever, locks and
choke lever.
2. Foamed air fi lter maintenance.
3. Checking the tension of a drive belt.
4. Checking the cutting disc and cover.
5. Checking the starter cable. Cleaning the vents.
7. Checking the switch operation.
