• The provided upper body support pillow MUST be
removed for children weighing over 9.1 kg (20 lbs) or in a
forward-facing position
• The provided lower infant insert MUST be used for
children weighing 10 kg (22 lbs) or less in a rear-facing
position.
• For models WITH storage pouch only: When not in use,
the lower anchor adjuster and strap MUST be stored in
the storage pouch inside of the seat.
• For models WITHOUT storage pouch only: When not in
use, the lower anchor adjuster and strap MUST be rolled
and secured.
• This child seat can only be used in the following classes
of vehicles: multi-purpose passenger vehicles, passenger
cars, or trucks.
• The primary protection for occupants of a vehicle in a
collision is the body of the vehicle itself; a child seat will
not protect a child when a vehicle is seriously impacted.
However, correctly installed, a child seat will substantially
improve chances for survival in most crashes. Make sure
all users fully understand the correct ways to use this child
seat in a vehicle.
Important Notes
• Britax strongly recommends that children should ride
REAR-facing until they exceed the weight or height limits
specified.
• Britax strongly recommends that children should remain
in a child seat with a 5-point harness until reaching the
maximum weight or height allowed.
• To prevent injury due to deterioration or hidden damage,
discontinue use of this child restraint if it is older than ten
(10) years. See the Serial Number and Manufactured Date
Label on the child
• Before each use, check this child restraint and its
components to make sure they are in good condition and
good working order.
• Discontinue use of this child restraint if it has been in a
moderate or severe crash. It is not necessary to replace
a child restraint after a minor crash, defined by the US
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
as:
a. The vehicle is drivable from the crash site; and
b. The vehicle door nearest to the child restraint was
not damaged; and
c. No vehicle occupants were injured; and
d. There is no visible damage to the child restraint; and
e. The airbags (if present) did not deploy.
• ALWAYS make sure the child restraint system is secured
to the vehicle, even when unoccupied, since in a crash an
unsecured child restraint system may injure occupants.
The unoccupied child seat can be secured to the vehicle
by attaching the lower connectors to the lower anchors in
the vehicle, or by fastening the vehicle seatbelt across the
unoccupied child seat.
restraint.
