SASimulator Subsystem
SASimulator commands only apply when the instrument is operating as a solar array simulator. SAS
commands program the solar array simulator functions. They are not available when the SAS:MODE is
set to FIXed. Error -315, Settings Conflict is generated when commands are not supported in the
present operating mode. Refer to
[SOURce:]SASimulator:ACTive:MPP:CURRent?
[SOURce:]SASimulator:ACTive:MPP:POWer?
[SOURce:]SASimulator:ACTive:MPP:VOLTage?
These commands return the current, power, or voltage of the true maximum power point (MPP) of the
curve that is presently running - the active curve. Note that in Curve mode, this value may differ
slightly from the user-programmed MPP due to the algorithm that is used to calculate the curve.
Likewise, in Table mode, the true MPP may not match any of the I-V table parameters that the user has
programmed. Values returned are in amps, volts or watts.
(none)
Returns the current at the maximum power point: SAS:ACT:MPP:CURR?
[SOURce:]SASimulator:BWIDth:RANGe <range>
[SOURce:]SASimulator:BWIDth:RANGe?
This command sets the SAS bandwidth range in both Curve and Table modes.
0 - the slow bandwidth range is stable when testing a wide variety of inverter devices.
1 - the fast bandwidth range is optimized for inverter devices with faster MPPT algorithms.
0 | 1; *RST: 0
Sets the SAS bandwidth to the fast range: SAS:BWID:RANG:1
[SOURce:]SASimulator:CURVe:IMP <current>|MIN|MAX
[SOURce:]SASimulator:CURVe:IMP? [MIN|MAX]
This command sets the current at the maximum power point of the SAS curve when operating in Curve
mode. The value is amperes.
Parameter
0 to 102% of rating | MIN | MAX; *RST: 0.8% of rating
Sets the current of the maximum power point: SAS:CURV:IMP 10
This sets all four parameters at once: SAS:CURV:IMP 10; ISC 12; VMP 100; VOC 120
