1 Quick Reference
Front Panel Display at a Glance
Voltage and current
Displays the actual output voltage and current
measurements
Operating mode
Indicates one of the following:
OFF = the output is off
CV = the output is in constant voltage mode
CC = the output is in constant current mode
Unr = the output is unregulated
IPK+/– = the output is in positive or negative peak current limit
VL+/– = the output is in positive or negative voltage limit mode
CL+/– = the output is in positive or negative current limit mode
T-on = the output is turning on
T-off = the output is turning off
OV+/- = the output is disabled by the positive or negative over-voltage protection
OP+/– = the output is disabled by the positive or negative over-power limit
OC = the output is disabled by the over-current protection
OT = the output is disabled by the over-temperature protection
PF = the output is disabled by a power-fail condition
Inh = the output is disabled by an external inhibit signal
Prot = the output is disabled by a protection condition on another unit
EDP = the output is disabled by excessive output dynamics protection
CSF = a current sharing fault has occurred
PSP = a primary/secondary protection has occurred
UV = the output is disabled by the under-voltage protection
LOV+/– = the output voltage has exceeded a positive or negative internal limit
DOV+/– = a DUT-applied voltage has exceeded the positive or negative voltage limit
OCF+/– = the positive or negative internal current limits are exceeded - possibly due
to a DUT-applied voltage that has exceeded the positive or negative voltage limit
Voltage and current
Displays the programmed voltage and current. These settings may not match the actual output
settings
voltage or current. For example, in CV mode, the current limit may be set to 1 A, but the actual
output current must be less than 1 A for the output to remain in CV mode. If the current limit is
reached, the output will no longer be in CV mode, but will be in current limit. In this case, the
actual output voltage will now be less than the voltage setting.
Status area
Indicates the following remote interface activity:
Err = an error has occurred (press Error key to display error message)
Lan = the LAN is connected and has been configured
IO = there is activity on one of the remote interfaces
