Function description
Relay output for fault messages
The relay output for fault messages is used to connect an acoustic and/or visual fault
notification device. The relay output is activated for all faults and can be acknowledged by
pressing any key.
The 'Alarm Settings' under 'Settings' can be used to specify an alarm repeat time (factory
setting = 'OFF' )
If this function is activated, the relay output fault message is activated again after
acknowledgment and after the set alarm repetition time has elapsed. This continues until
the fault is rectified.
Special application "CIP"
The special application CIP Phase Separation, enables the conductivity meter LMI03 to
perform precise concentration measurement of alkaline or acidic cleaning and disinfecting
solutions.
In this mode, the LMI03 compares the measured conductivity value with two preset limits
(SP1 and SP2). Two zero-potential switching signals are available for use if the limit
values are exceeded or are not met.
These switching signals or the current output 0/4–20 mA (corresponds to 0–100% of the
set measuring range) are available for the automatic, conductivity-dependent control of
valves in the CIP system via a PLC.

Switching to CIP mode
CIP mode is selected in 'Setup' (see
setting: 'AS mode' = make-up mode).
Function changes compared to AS mode
The functions available only in 'AS mode' are no longer displayed in the
operating menus.
When approaching the nominal value, SP1 no longer operates in 'pulse-pause mode' ,

but as a limit value with a hysteresis of approx. 0.5%.

The maximum proportioning time monitoring for SP1 is inactive.
No pre-proportioning is possible

SP2 relay ON at actual value > limit value SP2
NOTICE!
The switching function can be reversed for each limit value individually in
'Setup' under 'Invert Setpoints' (see
