Possible cause
Insert not present or not properly
tightened on the handpiece
Insert broken, worn or deformed
Cord electrical contacts wet
Peristaltic pump malfunction
The appliance has been switched
off and on again without waiting
5 seconds
Faults on the electrical network or
excessive electrostatic discharges
or internal faults
Incorrect start up procedure: the
appliance was started with the
pedal pressed
Solution
Unscrew the insert and screw
it back in correctly using the
torque wrench (See
Chapter 5.4
on page 21
).
Replace the insert.
Thoroughly dry the contacts
with compressed air.
Check that there are no
impediments for the rotation
of the pump.
Check that the pump and
the two pipes are correctly
installed.
Turn off and wait for 5 seconds
before switching on the
appliance again.
Turn off and wait 5 seconds
before switching the appliance
on again
If the warning persists, contact
an Authorised Mectron Service
Centre.
Check that the pedal is not
pressed down. If the problem
persists, disconnect the pedal
and potentially contact an
Authorised Mectron Service
Centre.
