2 General safety messages
2.1 Supplemental directives
Read this manual before you start the machine. Follow the listed safety mes-
sages to avoid risks and possible major injuries.
The users have to be informed about the intended use of the machine.
The safety messages indicated in this document have to be followed
(see chapter 2.3).
Check the machine and especially the protective devices for possible dam-
ages. Damaged safety devices or parts thereof must, if not stated otherwise
in the user manual, be repaired or replaced by authorised service personnel.
Besides a maintenance of the machine is executed, it may only be operated
with a closed working chamber door and with the safety interlock being
activated. It is forbidden to disable the present safety devices or to set
them out of use.
Keep children and animals away from the machine. Don't leave the ma-
chine running unattended, except you comply with the requirements for
it (see chapter 2.3). Use of the machine in any "service mode" may only be
done by service personnel, that is trained by vhf to use the machine in the
respective "service mode".
Please be aware of the information about the choice of tools and the adjust-
ment of tool parameters (see chapter 5.4).
