Internal cleaning
Never use compressed air for internal cleaning since material chips can
reach the sensitive components like the linear guides or the spindle bear-
ings.
Clean the machine regularly to prevent material chips from getting to the
linear guides and other sensitive machine parts. Use only a vacuum cleaner
or a brush for internal cleaning.
Clean the fixing device and the measuring key as well with a vacuum cleaner
and a brush.
If you only use a brush for cleaning, turn on the air extraction in the software,
so that the chips are removed instantly.
To clean the blank changer remove all blank frames and clean them. Clean
the interior of the blank changer with a vacuum cleaner and a wet cloth. The
best way to reach the release carriage is by lifting the carriage cover in the
working chamber.
Collet chuck cleaning
Damaging of the spindle when cleaning with compressed air
If you clean the collet chuck with compressed air, the spindle bearings can
get damaged.
Clean the collet chuck exclusively with the appropriate service set.
