Loosen the rotor clamping nut using the spanner supplied by turning
it anticlockwise.

4.
Tighten the rotor clamping nut hand-tight by turning it clockwise using
the hex key provided.
5.
Check that the rotor is firmly seated.
6.
A test run must be performed if a different rotor has been installed.
For the test run, the adjustment weight supplied (7g) must be placed
in a rotor location and a centrifugation run with a runtime of 1 minute
must be performed at a speed of 6000 RPM.
The drive must not switch off.
WARNING
Risk of injury from contaminated sample material.
Contaminated sample material escapes from the sample
tube during centrifugation.
−
Use centrifuge tubes with special screw caps for haz-
ardous substances.
−
For risk group 3 and 4 materials, use a biosafety system
in addition to the sealable centrifuge tubes (see WHO's
'Laboratory Biosafety Manual').
