Sensor is synchro-
nized after the sys-
tem is restarted.
342
Temperature differ-
ence between the
two temperature
measurement
points is too great.
347
Configuration
failed due to an
interruption in the
communication
between the trans-
mitter and the sen-
sor.
350
Gas generator is in
the start-up phase.

Dräger Polytron
Remedy
Contact DrägerService.
Wait until synchronization
is complete.
Wait and check if the
LifeTest is evaluated, or
replace the sensor.
Reconfigure the sensor
and check the configura-
tion.
Wait until the start-up
phase has ended. During
the start-up phase, the
error detection and clog-
ging detection functions are
not active.
Replace the sensor or con-
tact DrägerService.
Inhibit mode can be exited
manually via PolySoft or is
exited automatically.
Perform manual restart.
Have the firmware updated
by DrägerService.
Perform a restart or replace
the sensor.
To exit the mode, restart
the sensor.

Maintenance
– The maintenance intervals must be established for each
individual installation. Depending on safety considerations
and application specific conditions the instrument is used
in, these might need to be shortened.
Every 6 months:
– Inspection by trained service personnel.
– Check signal transmission to the controller (see "Testing
the analog interface", page 35).
– Check LEDs as well as the triggering of the alarm device
(see "Testing alarms/relays", page 33).
Regularly:
– Perform calibrations, see 8 Calibration
10.1 Performing a bump test and checking
the response time (t90)
A bump test checks the response time without setting off an
alarm.
1. Select and confirm Settings > Instrument > Bump test.
 The Maintenance symbol
 The analog output is set to the maintenance signal.
2. Apply a known gas concentration to the sensor.
3. Check the response time and compare it with the t90
value indicated in the corresponding sensor data sheet.
4. Press [OK] to return to measurement.
10.2 Sensor replacement
WARNING
Faulty Calibration
Faulty Calibration may cause inaccurate readings.
► If the sensor is replaced, all settings and parameters must
be checked for correctness.
► Check calibration to verify proper operation.
