VDE 0295
Characteristic cable resistance: 41 ohms/km at 20 °C

– Bare copper wire, class 2 in acc. with IEC 60228 /
VDE 0295
Characteristic cable resistance: 36 ohms/km at 20 °C
(118110 ohms/feet at 68 °F)

Commissioning
6.1
General information
– Before connecting the instrument to the power supply,
connect the wires for the relay and connect up the sensor.
– Before starting normal operation of the instrument, check
whether the configuration and adjustment settings are
correct.
In order to guarantee its safe operation according to
BVS 13 ATEX G 001 X and PFG 14 G 001 X, the following
standard alarm settings for the instrument must remain
unchanged.
– The relays must be set to Normally energ. and the
alarm A2 (main alarm) to Latching and Non-
acknowledgeable or Pre-Acknowledgeable.
– Alarm A1 (pre-alarm) may only be set to
Acknowledgeable if used for activation of an acoustic
alarm device.
– Latching in the event of over range (see "Setting the DQ
sensor latching", page 38).
