Installation of the VISULAS YAG III Combi

The instrument will be installed by a Carl Zeiss Meditec authorised
specialist.
Caution
Optical fibres and application systems from other manufacturers are
not to be used with this laser system.
• Avoid impacts and blows during transport of the instrument.
• Mount the system in a suitable location close to the physician and
the slit lamp.
To install the laser console on an IT 4L instrument table, the table
mounting (1, Fig. 16) must first be fitted. Four holes are provided for
this purpose under the tabletop (on the right hand side, seen from the
physician's perspective).
• Screw the table mounting's mounting plate firmly to the table top
using the screws provided.
• Now affix the laser slit lamp to the table.
• Slide the VISULAS YAG III from the front onto the upper plate of the
table mounting.
Caution
To avoid damage to the instrument, remove the key before carrying
out this procedure.
• Finally, holding it vertically, slide the VISULAS 532s, from the front,
onto the lower plate of the table mounting.
• Place the foot switch in a suitable position under the table and
insert the connector into the red socket on the bottom of the
VISULAS 532s (see VISULAS 532s user manual).
Note:
The cables and the corresponding sockets and ports are colour-
coded for easy identification. The sockets and ports are also
labelled.
Connectors and sockets are both marked with red dots. These
must be lined up when connecting the cables.
• To disconnect the cable, grasp the connector by the sleeve and pull
it directly backwards. Pulling at the sleeve releases the lock
mechanism on the connector.
