For safety reasons and to ensure adherence to the guarantee
conditions, the laser console may only be opened by specialist
personnel with express written authorisation from Carl Zeiss
Meditec.
Disconnect the system from the power supply before opening the
instrument, carrying out servicing or changing the fuses.
Do not use mobile phones or other devices not compliant with EMC
class B in the vicinity of this equipment, as their signals may cause
the equipment to malfunction. The effect of radio signals on
medical instruments is dependent on various factors and is therefore
not predictable. To avoid electromagnetic interference, the
instrument must be installed and operated as described in the user
manual and using only those components supplied by Carl Zeiss
Meditec.
Do not connect the system via additional portable multiple sockets
or extension cables.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages arising as a result
of unauthorised access to the interior of the instrument or the use
of unauthorised accessories.
Such actions will also render any warranty claims invalid.
Warning
Internal components remain electrically live after the instrument has
been switched off using the key switch.
To completely disconnect from the power supply, the instrument must
be unplugged.
Requirements for operation of the instrument
The instrument will be installed by a Carl Zeiss Meditec authorised
specialist. Please ensure that the following requirements for operation
are always fulfilled.
The ambient conditions for proper use are maintained (see Technical
Specifications on page 70).
The instrument is plugged into a power outlet, which has a properly
connected protective earth connection.
The power cable intended for use with this instrument is used.
No external damage to the instrument is visible.
All cables and connectors are in perfect working condition.
Pay special attention to warning and information labels and any
parts, such as screws and surfaces on the instrument painted red.
Do not cover ventilation grids or slits.
