Laser slit lamp faults
Possible cause
- Control unit power cable not connected.
- Control unit not switched on.
- Connecting cable not connected to control
unit.
- Fuse defective.
- Slit is closed.
- Halogen lamp defective.
- Lamp voltage setting too low.
- Halogen lamp not properly inserted.
- Incorrect slit length setting.
- Incorrect slit width setting.
- Filter selector not correctly set.
- Corneal microscope magnification not
properly adjusted.
- Interpupillary distance of binocular tube not
properly adjusted.
- Eyepieces not properly adjusted.
- Instrument base locked with fast-action
base lock.
- Base locked with locking screw.
Remedy
- Connect the power cable.
- Switch on the control unit.
- Insert connector

- Replace fuse.
