14. Programming example
The following section provides an example of a typical usage scenario:
• Three people have different access codes for accessing a building. The door opener is ac-
tivated by output #1. The time delay for activating the door opener connected to output #1
is 3 seconds.
• Another person can activate output #2 using a different user code (e.g. for controlling a ga-
rage door). The time delay for activating output #2 is 15 seconds.
• Automatic entry mode is not used (see section 12. m), so the master code and user code can
be different lengths (4 - 8 digits).
a) Configuring the settings
Step 1: Turn on the power supply
If you have not already done so, connect the combination lock to the power supply. The middle
LED will start to flash slowly, indicating that the lock is ready to use.
Step 2: Enter the master code
• Enter the master code and press the star key.
By default, the master code is set to 0000. If you have set a different master code,
enter the existing code (not 0000).
• The combination lock will beep twice and the middle LED will stay constant to indicate that
programming mode is enabled.
Step 3: Change the master code
The default master code (0000) must be changed when you set up the combination
lock.
• Enter the programming code "0", and then enter the new master code (e.g. 12345) and press
the hash key.
• The combination lock will beep twice and the middle LED will flash two times.
The existing master code (default code = 0000) will be overwritten and can no longer
be used. You will need to enter the new master code the next time you enable pro-
gramming mode.
