clicks, no red marking visible).

d) For a permanent installation of the device secure the
movable side plate by using the enclosed screw.
4. LEVER FUNCTION
Attention: In any case, make sure to control the braking
end of the rope as well as the release lever with one hand
at all times during the abseil.
a) Correct use of the lever for lowering. If the lever is
turned over the horizontal axis, the panic function of
the device is activated and the device locks. It is pos-
sible to release the braking cam from two sides.
b) It must be ensured that during use it is guaranteed
that the lever can move freely in its complete range of
movement and cannot be blocked by any obstacles!
c) Attention! Always keep one hand on the braking rope
while operating the device!
d) Possible hand positions for controlled descend.
5. APPLICATION ACTIVE/PASSIVE
a) When adding friction in an active descending scenario
make sure to use different sized carabiners or two
different attachment points. Using similar sized cara-
biners on the same attachment point can lead to the
rope getting jammed.
b) When adding friction in a passive lowering scenario
make sure to attach the carabiner for redirection at
the same attachment point as the device. Attaching
the friction carabiner in the carabiner of the device
can lead to the rope getting jammed.
6. LEAD BELAYING
Keep a hand on the brake end of the rope at all time.
Only to pay out rope hold the cam down with your thumb.
Attention! For lead climbing only use dynamic ropes ac-
cording to EN 892 in the defined diameter range.
7. DYNAMIC LIMITATIONS
Never allow slack between the device and the anchor
build up. Instead keep the rope as taut as possible. Never
surpass the anchor point connected to. Attention! When
close to the anchor, the energy absorption from the rope
is minimal and this may damage the rope.
8. HAZARDOUS SOURCES
a) No loading over an edge.
b) Usage of gloves is always recommended. Watch out
for hair, fingers or clothing to get caught in the device.
Attention! Metal parts can get very hot during de-
scents and could damage the rope.
9. CLIMATE REQUIREMENTS
Heat, cold, moisture, icing, oil and dust can impair the
function. Take care when using the device around mov-
ing machinery and/or electrical hazards.
LIFETIME AND REPLACEMENT
The lifetime of the product mainly depends on the type
and frequency of use as well as on external influences.
When approaching the durability limits or at the end of
the maximum service life indicated, the product must be
removed from use. Products made of synthetic fibres
(Polyamid, Polyester, Dyneema
subject to some aging even if not used; their service life
especially depends on the intensity of the ultraviolet ra-
diation and other climatic conditions they are exposed

Frequent use or extremely high loading may substantially
reduce the product lifetime.
Therefore, before use, check the product for possible
damages and correct function If any of the following ap-
plies remove the product from service immediately and
turn it over to a qualified person or the manufacturer for
inspection and/or repair including a written confirma-
tion, before using it again (list non-exhaustive):
