1.20 ERROR AND STATUS CONDITIONS
The inverter is equipped with protection systems to preserve the pump, the motor, the supply line and
the inverter itself. If one or more protections trip, the one with the highest priority is immediately notified
on the display.
Depending on the type of error, the electric pump may switch itself off, but when normal conditions are
restored the error status may be cancelled immediately or only after a certain time, following an automatic
reset.
In cases of a water low block ("bL"), shutdown due to current overload in the electric pump ("oC"),
shutdown due to current overload in the output stages ("oF"), shutdown due to direct short circuit between
the phases of the output terminal ("SC"), the user can attempt to exit the error conditions by pressing the "+"
and "-" keys simultaneously. If the error condition persists, take steps to eliminate the cause of the
malfunction. In the case of excess temperature, the protection intervenes in two ways:
shutdown on reaching an excessively high temperature,
limitation of the maximum frequency as the temperature rises.
Another type of protection is adopted on:
the power devices,
the supply capacitors,
the printed circuit.
These protections trip when a potentially hazardous temperature is reached, limiting the maximum rotation
frequency FS to small steps, with the aim of dissipating less power.
Once the alarm is over the protection is automatically disabled and normal operating conditions are restored.
The intervention of one of these three protections or a combination of them may at the most decrease the
frequency FS by 20%.
The three protection systems do not cause and do not generate an error message, but they keep a trace of their
intervention by generating a warning in the fault log.
If the temperature on the final output stages or on the printed circuit is not limited with this system, the
shutdown due to excess temperature will intervene.
During the intervention of these protections a rotation frequency FR less than the expected value may
be displayed.
