1.10 INITIAL START-UP OPERATIONS
After having correctly carried out the installation of the hydraulic and electric systems, power can be
supplied to the ACTIVE DRIVER.
The letters "ZF" will appear on the display and after a few seconds the error condition "EC" will be shown.
To start the ACTIVE DRIVER it is necessary to set the current value shown on the data plate of the electric
pump. The frequency is set by default at 50Hz.
The section below describes some steps for setting the main parameters and performing initial start-up.
1.11 SETTING THE RATED CURRENT "rC"
The parameter "rC" is the parameter that defines the motor current protection. Press and hold the MODE and
SET and – keys simultaneously until "rC" appears on the display.
Using the + and - keys set the value according to the indications on the data plate of the electric pump motor.
This is the rated current of the electric pump expressed in Amps.
For the models A.D M/T refer to the current value for 230V three phase versions. For the models A.D.
T/T refer to the current value for 400V three phase versions.
If the set parameter is lower than the correct one, during operation the error message "oC" will appear as
soon as the set current has been exceeded for a certain time.
If the set parameter is higher than the correct one, the overload protection will trip incorrectly beyond the
motor safety threshold.
1.11.1 Setting the rated frequency "Fn"
From the parameter "rC", press the MODE key once, the electric pump rated frequency "Fn" will appear on
the display. If necessary, modify by pressing "+" for at least 3 seconds and edit by means of the keys "+" and
"-". The correct value of "Fn" is specified on the electric pump dataplate.
Incorrect configuration of the working frequency of the electric pump may cause damage to the
electric pump.
1.11.2 Setting the direction of rotation
From the parameter "Fn" press the MODE key to make the current and frequency settings active and move
on to the next item "rt". At this point the ACTIVE DRIVER is ready to start.
Switch on a utility to start the electric pump turning.
If the direction of rotation is correct, proceed to set the Setpoint pressure, otherwise invert the direction of
rotation of the motor using the + and - keys (function active even with the motor switched on).
1.11.3 Setting the setpoint pressure
Press and hold the MODE and SET keys simultaneously until "SP" appears on the display. In these
conditions the + and - keys allow you respectively to increase and decrease the desired pressure value.
Press SET to return to normal operating status.
1.12 OPERATION: MENU
The following section describes the menus available on ACTIVE DRIVER and all relative items.
If an error or malfunction occurs during this phase, the display is not changed. Depending on the type
of error, the electric pump may switch off. However it is still possible to make the desired calibration.
To locate the type of error that has occurred return to the mode in which the operating status is
displayed by pressing the SET key. It is possible to attempt a reset by pressing "+" and "-"
simultaneously.
1.13 OPERATION: USER PARAMETER MENU
1.13.1 SP : Setting the set-point pressure (in bar).
From normal operating status, press and hold the MODE and SET keys simultaneously until "SP" appears on
the display. In these conditions the + and – keys allow you respectively to increase and decrease the desired
pressure value.
Press SET to return to normal operating status.
Apart from the working pressure, ACTIVE DRIVER allows you to set another value:
"rP": expresses the decrease in pressure, with respect to SP, that makes the electric pump restart.
