The safety valves must be connected to the outside of the machinery room without any isolating valves in accordance with EN 378-
2. The connection must be made on site by the installer.
Caution must be taken during the 1.1 x PS tests carried out on site under responsibility of the installer to avoid activation of the
safety valves (must be disassembled).
The time of this test must be at least 30 minutes.

4.1
OVERVIEW
The rack is equipped with an electrical cabinet designed only to manage the compressors and accessories of the machine. It is
designed according to EN60204-1.
Wiring on site must comply with the legal standards in force in the country and with the EN60204-1.
Unless specified differently, the nominal voltage is 400V 50Hz for the power supply and 230V 50Hz for the control circuit
elements (pressure switches - crankcase heaters).
4.2
ELECTRICAL MOTOR WIRING
They are wired in "Part Winding" (except compressors equipped with frequency converter). However, always refer to the indications on
the name plate of the compressor.
The motors of the compressors are protected by an anti-short-cycle device integrated in the controller (minimum value 6 min.)
Lower values are not recommended or under the sole responsibility of the installer.
One Medium Temperature compressor is equipped with an inverter (optional for one Low Temperature compressor).
Caution: the maximum unbalance between phases is 2% in voltage and 10% in current per motor.

CONTROL AND SAFETY DEVICES
4.3.1
Safety devices
MT compressor rack:
For each compressor a Cat IV safety pressure switch with 120 bar maximum cut-off and 84 bar reset.
For the rack: a general safety pressure switch Cat IV with 108 bar cut-off, 93 bar reset.
All HP pressure switches have automatic reset, however manual reset is possible electrically removing a shunt inside the electrical box.
LT compressor rack:
For each compressor a Cat IV HP pressure switch.
Optional:
-
Adjustable Low Pressure switch for the MT rack (PSL)
-
Adjustable Low Pressure switch for the LT rack (PSL)
-
Additional general HP switch for the MT rack (PSH)
4.3.2
Crankase heater
Powered during compressor stops.
4.3.3
Electronic compressor protection module
Bitzer compressors are equipped with SE-B1 protection (motor winding protection).
4.3.4
Electronic oil level regulator
All MT compressors are equipped with an oil level sensor using optical sensor. The oil supply to these controllers is managed as follows:
The oil is separated from the refrigerant by the coalescent oil separator.
When the oil separator level sensor indicates a sufficient presence of oil in the separator, it activates a solenoid valve which allows the
transfer of oil from the separator to the oil receiver. The pressure in the oil receiver is maintained at the pressure of the MP liquid
receiver.
The oil regulators are fed through a filter and a manifold.
