2.2.14 EXTERNAL SUBCOOLER on gascooler outlet
Upon request, for installation with high ambient temperatures, an external subcooler can be added to improve the overall performance of the
installation.
The principle is to connect a cooling unit including a high pressure heat exchanger at the CO2 transcritical unit (between gascooler-outlet and
the HP regulation valve).
The connection between the CO2 transcritical unit and the subcooling unit needs to be performed on site.
Mainly, the unit used is a QUIETOR type, with refrigerant R134a, R513 or R450A (refer to the specific IOM of this range).
As an alternative to the above unit, an external heat exchanger CO2/Water can be used.
