2.2 VARIOUS CONFIGURATIONS
2.2.1 Design
Machines for transcritical application with air-cooled or water-cooled gas-cooler running in subcritical and transcritical modes. Provided
for machinery room installation (minimum temp 0°C, maximum 38°C during operation).
Compressors mounted with silent block on the frame.
Copper piping for all parts with pressure below or equal to 45 bar, and in copper alloy (CuFe2P) for high pressure side above 45 bar until
120 bar.

2.2.2 Compressors
BITZER range TRANSCRITICAL for transcritical application for the MT side. Service pressure 100b (suction) ; 160 bar
(discharge) with safety venting valve.
BITZER range SUBCRITICAL « SL » for the LT side (booster) Service pressure 30b (suction) 53 bar (discharge).
BITZER range SUBCRITIQUE « ME high standstill pressure » for the LT side (booster) Service pressure 100b
(suction) 100 bar (discharge).
2.2.3 Refrigerant
Group 2, CO2 only. Use only R744 refrigerant.
2.2.4 Application
Refrigeration rack operating at evaporating temperature between -40°C and +5°C according to the needs for
food retail. Maximum discharge pressure MT is 108 bar, with maximum discharge temperature of 120°C during
transcritical operation.
