SCHEMATIC 2
2.2.7
Transcritical / Subcritical system
CO2 high pressure expansion (outlet of gas cooler) is made with the HP valve, type CCMT or ICMTS (in option), driven by the
controller (CCMT = stepper motor / ICMTS: driven by 0-10V signal).
Liquid at the outlet is stored into the liquid receiver.
Pressure in the receiver is maintained to a predefined value (35bar +/- 0.5bar equivalent to approximately 0°C), using MP valves:
ETS or CCM valves (stepper motor control).
Liquid is then subcooled before flowing into the liquid line (filter drier, sight glass, valve, bypass) and being supplied to the different
consumers on both MT and LT sides.
Flash gas (after high pressure expansion valve) is removed by one or more medium pressure valves down to the suction of the
MT rack, flowing first through a plate heat exchanger.
Gas Expansion through those MP valves produces liquid which is used to subcool the main liquid line through the plate exchanger before
being supplied to the consumers.
