Transcritical CO
OLtec EVO system using modulating ejector developed by CARRIER PROFROID
2
The high pressure valve is replaced by one or several modulating ejectors
There is no more MP valve since:
MT compressors suck directly the flash gas from the upper part of the liquid receiver
o
100% of the MT evaporator mass flow is connected to the suction side of the ejectors
o
Addition of a pump on the liquid line outlet, only operating when the pressure uplift delivered by the ejectors is not sufficient to properly
drive the rest of the installation

11.3.2 Description
The system is made of two equipments
The rack: compressor module built identical to the MiniCO
and without the HP and MP valves ; can also be equipped with the heat recovery module integrated (optional). The oil separation module
is similar to the one used for the parallel compression units (see chapter 2.2.6). Important notice: the systems using ejectors use only
compressor with high suction pressure capability because those can operate at saturated suction temperature higher than 0°C.
