In the situation when there is no LT stage, or when the LT stage does not operate permanently (partial commissioning, LT stage connected to
an ice machine only, or LT cold room with reduced load, ...).
One (or two if redundancy is requested) oil pump is used to pump the oil from the oil trap into the MT compressor suction line.
In the situation when the LT stage has at least 50% higher capacity than the MT stage
- The discharge line of the LT compressors is connected to the suction line of the ejectors and no longer to the suction line of the MT
compressors
- The biggest part of the oil flowing through the LT compressors, an additional oil separator is positioned on the LT discharge line to inject
oil back into the suction line of the MT compressors. The oil separator is similar (coalescent) with the one used on the MT discharge line.
