BRAKE CALIPER DISASSEMBLY
NOTE:
Before disassembling a caliper, drain brake fluid
from brake hose, master cylinder, brake caliper and
brake reservoir of their brake fluid.
1. Remove:
• Pistons
• Piston oil seals 1
Removal steps:
• Using a wood of piece 2, lock the right piston.
• Blow compressed air into the hose joint opening
a to force out the left piston from the caliper
body.
• Remove the piston seals and reinstall the pis-
ton.
• Repeat the previous steps to force out the right
piston from the caliper body.
WARNING
• Never try to pry out the pistons.
• Do not loosen the retaining pins 3.

WARNING
All internal brake components should be
cleaned only with new brake fluid. Do not use
solvents as they will cause seals to swell and
