HNS 3000
4.2
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
Additional installation suggestions which, from experience, reduce the effect of
electromagnetic interference:
• Make line connections as short as possible
• Use shielded lines (e.g. LIYCY 4 x 0.5 mm²)
• The cable shielding must be fitted by qualified personnel, subject to the ambient
conditions and with the aim of suppressing interference.
• Keep the instrument well away from the electrical supply lines of power equipment, as
well as from any electrical or electronic equipment causing interference.
The level switch HNS 3000 should be mounted vertically inside the tank. If not mounted
vertically, the accuracy of the HNS may decrease with increasing tilt angle (additional
inaccuracy at a tilt angle of 5° approx. ±0.5%; additional inaccuracy at a tilt angle of 10°
approx. ±1.5%).
If not mounted vertically, the float risks jamming (adhesion force > buoyancy).
CAUTION!
The HNS 3000 electronic level switch is not suitable for operation at pressures
exceeding atmospheric pressure. Short-term peak pressures up to 10 bar,
however, may be possible and will not cause damage to the device if not
exceeding 1 minute of time.
