Technical Safety

The individual components of the EDS 3000 Electronic Pressure Sensor and the
assembled unit are subject to strict quality assurance. Each EDS 3000 undergoes a final
test. This ensures that when supplied the sensor is free of defects and complies with the
designated specifications.
The series EDS 3000 electronic pressure sensors are maintenance-free and operate
perfectly when used under the conditions specified. If, however, you do encounter
problems, please contact your HYDAC representative. Any tampering with the sensor will
invalidate all warranty claims.
Compliance with European Standards
The EDS 3000 series electronic pressure sensors feature the
with all the German approval requirements and the European standards currently
applicable for operating these units. As a consequence, compliance with the current
regulations on electromagnetic compatibility and the safety provisions of the Low-Voltage
Directive is ensured.
This product complies with the provisions of the following European standards:

General Safety Information
The EDS 3000 series electronic pressure sensor presents no safety risk provided it is used
in accordance with its proper, designated use. However, in order to avoid any risk to the
operator or any damage due to incorrect handling of the unit, please adhere strictly to the
following safety instructions:
• The EDS 3000 must not be put into service if any known defects, either electrical or
mechanical, are apparent.
• The instructions for use must be strictly adhered to.
• Read the specifications on the rating plate.
• Troubleshooting and repair work may only be carried out by HYDAC's Service
Department.
• All relevant and generally recognized safety requirements must be adhered to.

Exclusion of liability

This operating manual was made to the best of our knowledge. Nevertheless and despite
the greatest care, it cannot be excluded that mistakes could have crept in. Therefore
please understand that in the absence of any provisions to the contrary hereinafter our
warranty and liability – for any legal reasons whatsoever – are excluded in respect of the
information in this operating manual. In particular, we shall not be liable for lost profit or
other financial loss. This exclusion of liability does not apply in cases of intent and gross
negligence. Moreover, it does not apply to defects which have been deceitfully concealed
or whose absence has been guaranteed, nor in cases of culpable harm to life, physical
injury and damage to health. If we negligently breach any material contractual obligation,
our liability shall be limited to foreseeable damage. Claims due to the Product Liability shall
remain unaffected.
In the event of translation, only the original version of the operating manual in German is
legally valid.
