HOPPER MANUAL LIFTING

To lift/lower the hopper manually (when the diesel engine, or the hydraulic system is faulty, etc.) perform the following procedure.
Hopper manual lifting
Drive the machine on a solid and level ground.
1.
If the hopper is full, empty it manually.
2.
If the engine is on, tun it off by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
3.
Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).
4.
Open the right front water tank (2, Fig. F) by releasing the fasteners (16 and 17) with an Allen wrench d.8.
5.
Remove the lever (20, Fig. F) of the hand pump (1, Fig. N).
6.
Place the lever (2, Fig. N) in the hand pump housing (3).
7.
Carefully activate the pump (1, Fig. N) with the lever (2) and lift the hopper enough to install the support rod (3, Fig. M).
CAUTION!
If the hand pump (1, Fig. N) is as shown in the box (9), before performing the above-mentioned procedure the
valve lever (6) must be shifted from position (7) to position (8).
Hopper manual lowering
1.
Place the support rod (1, Fig. M) in its housing.
2.
Lower the hopper by loosening the unlocking handwheel (4, Fig. N) in the lower side of the hand pump (1).
3.
When the hopper is lowered, tighten the unlocking handwheel (4).
CAUTION!
If the hand pump (1, Fig. N) is not as shown in the box (9), the valve lever (6) should be shifted to the original
position (7).

USING THE HIGH-PRESSURE WASHING SYSTEM

The machine is equipped with a high-pressure washing system to be used for washing the machine or other purposes. This system
is fed by the dust control system water tanks.
The following procedure refers to the high-pressure water gun use.
1.
Check and, if necessary, top up the dust control system water tanks, and check which symbol (12, Fig. H) turns on:
main tank and sub-tank are full
main tank is empty and sub-tank is full
main tank and sub-tank are empty. In this condition, the dust control system and high-pressure washing system turn off
after about 5 seconds.
!
failure in the dust control system tank water level detection or visualisation system. Contact a Nilfi sk Service Center.
CAUTION!
A safety system turns of the water pumps if the water level in the tanks is insuffi cient for an interval of 10
seconds or more.
2.
If possible, drive the machine on a solid and level ground.
3.
Stop the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.
4.
Turn the valve lever (4, Fig. O) for 90° to send the water fl ow towards the high-pressure pump. The lever must be vertical (at
right angles to the ground).
CAUTION!
At the end of the procedure, bring the lever to horizontal position (parallel to the ground).
