13.
Turn on the side brooms and the suction fan by pressing the lower side of the switch (29, Fig. E) to the second position.
14.
Adjust the side broom speed, by turning the potentiometer (13, Fig. E) clockwise. If the potentiometer is fully turned counter-
clockwise, the brooms do not turn.
15.
Lower the suction inlet and the side brooms by pressing and holding the lower part of the switch (31, Fig. D). When lowering,
the brooms widen.
CAUTION!
Avoid stopping for a long time with the machine in the same position and the brooms rotating: this could create
unwanted marks on the fl oor.
16.
If the suction inlet must be kept lifted, use the chain (1, Fig. S).
17.
To adjust the height, decrease the length of the chain (1, Fig. S) by releasing the end ring (2) and engaging one of the next
rings (3) to the spring catch (4). Chose the ring according to the desired height.
18.
If the side brooms are to be tightened and/or widened, press the lower or upper side of the switch (31, Fig. D) accordingly.
19.
If necessary, turn on the water pump by pressing the upper part of the switch (28, Fig. E). To measure the water supply for the
broom nozzles, use the valve (8, Fig. D); to measure the water supply for the suction inlet nozzles, use the valve (10).
20.
If the 3rd broom is to be used, press the upper or lower side of the switch (46, Fig. D) to make it turn clockwise or counter-
clockwise. When sweeping to the right, the 3rd broom must turn counter-clockwise, otherwise it must turn clockwise.
21.
Bring the 3rd broom arm at right angles to the cab by pressing the push-button (41, Fig. D) on the joystick.
22.
Tilt the 3rd broom by pressing the push-button (44, Fig. D) on the joystick. It is necessary to give the broom a certain angle of
incidence with the ground, to increase the friction.
23.
Lower the 3rd broom by pressing the push-button (42, Fig. D) on the joystick. When the 3rd broom touches the ground, the 3rd
broom arm extension fully widens to the right or to the left according to the counter-clockwise or clockwise rotation. Adjust the
3rd broom tilting as necessary, by pressing the push-button (45, Fig. D) on the joystick.
24.
If the arm extension does not widen, because the broom adhesion is insuffi cient owing to a ground which is too smooth, the
centre of the arm range must be adjusted with the knob (8, Fig. U). By unscrewing the know (8) the arm extension can be
widened for smooth grounds.
25.
Adjust the 3rd broom cleaning width by changing the position of the arm extension (5, Fig. U). When pressing the push-button
(41, Fig. D) on the joystick, the arm shifts to the right; when pressing the push-button (40), the arm shifts to the left.
26.
If the water nozzle is to be used, open the valve (9, Fig. D) and adjust the water jet.
27.
Turn the forward/reverse gear selector (11, Fig. D) forward to move forward, and rearward to move in reverse. When moving in
reverse, the reverse gear buzzer will sound.
28.
Disengage the parking brake with the lever (3, Fig. D).
29.
Start sweeping, by keeping the hands on the steering wheel (15, Fig. E) and gradually pressing the pedal (5, Fig. D) on the
front side.
The drive speed can be adjusted from zero to maximum speed by increasing the pressure on the pedal (5).
While working, the machine picks up both light materials such as dust, paper, leaves, etc. and heavy materials such as stones,
bottles, etc.
NOTE
In case of obstacles (footpaths, etc.), lift the front side of the machine by pressing the upper part of the switch (27, Fig.
E). To lower the machine press and hold the lower part of the switch (27).
CAUTION!
When the machine is lifted, the maximum allowed speed is 5 km/h.
