9.1. Set up the Sonopuls by hand

Switching on
• Connect the supplied mains adapter
• Connect the mains adapter to a wall socket
• Switch on the unit using the On/Off button
Immediately after switching on, the unit carries out a
self test.
Choice of therapy mode
• Select the desired duty cycle
continuous ultrasound is 100 %, pulsed ultrasound
is 5, 10, 20, 50 and 80 %.
The selection is indicated on the display.
Treatment time
• Select the treatment time.
The set time is indicated on the display.
Intensity
• Select display in watt or W/cm²
• Set the intensity /power (the maximum intensity
which can be set for a duty cycle of 80 and 100 % is
2 W/cm²)
The display will flash until adequate contact is made.
Starting treatment
• Position the treatment head (do not forget to apply gel)
• When adequate contact is made, the timer will start
(flashing dot)
Ending treatment
Treatment can be stopped by taking off the treatment
head from the patient and setting the timer to zero.
Treatment stops automatically when the treatment time
has elapsed.
