ATTENZIONE
Questa operazione non può essere eseguita a
forcella installata sul motociclo.
NOTA
È consigliato portare il registro del precarico
molla al valore minimo e svitare leggermente il
tappo di chiusura, prima di rimuovere lo stelo
dalle piastre di sterzo.
• Rimuovere lo stelo dalle piastre di sterzo
secondo la procedura prevista dal costruttore
del motociclo.
• Fissare lo stelo (49) in morsa.
• Con chiave da 22 mm ridurre al valore minimo
il precarico molla ruotando complessivamente
in senso antiorario il registro (50).
• Svitare completamente, dal tubo portante, il
gruppo tappo di chiusura (64), servendosi di
una chiave da 32 mm.
• Abbassare lentamente il portastelo (49) sul
tubo portante.
• Tenere fisso, con chiave da 22 mm, il gruppo
registro per il precarico della molla (50) e
servendosi di una chiave da 19 mm svitare il
controdado (36).
• Svitare e rimuovere il gruppo tappo superiore
completo (64).

4.3 Draining the oil

WARNING
This operation cannot be carried out with the
fork installed on the motorcycle.
REMEMBER
We recommend setting the spring preload
adjuster to the minimum value and loosening the
fork cap a little before removing the fork leg from
the steering crowns.
• Remove the fork leg from the steering crowns
according to the procedure in the motorcycle
owner's manual.
• Clamp the fork leg (49) in the vice.
• With a 22mm spanner turn the adjuster (50)
counter-clockwise and set the spring preload
to minimum value.
• Remove cap (64) from the fork leg using a
32mm spanner.
• Slowly lower the slider (49) on the stanchion
tube.
• Holding the spring preload adjuster (50) with a
22mm spanner, use the 19mm spanner to
unscrew the locknut (36).
• Remove the fork cap (64).
