Exchanging the Cylinder Valve Unit

Danger of injury when loosening connections!
Cables, electrical connectors, tubing, valves and cylinders may not be loosened as long as
the system is under voltage and pressure.
Make sure that all relevant system parts are free of pressure and voltage before
loosening connections.
10 Exchanging the Cylinder Valve
Unit
WARNING
Proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that all relevant system parts are not under
pressure or voltage before you remove the cylinder valve unit.
Protect the system against being switched on.
2. Allow the cylinder valve unit and adjacent parts to cool before
removing the cylinder valve unit.
3. Remove the electrical and pneumatic connections.
4. Use blanking plugs to close the pneumatic connections on the
cylinder valve unit.
5. You may need to shut down part of the system if the defective
cylinder valve unit cannot be immediately replaced.
6. Before re-commissioning the system, return all barriers and
signs removed for the disassembly or exchange to their
original position.
A new part number is assigned to each new combination of
cylinder valve unit and available individual devices. You can
use this part number to re-order a previously configured
cylinder valve unit.
