Basic use of the device
ATTENTION!
■ Burn hazard! The heated contents will also make the metal surface of the mixing
bowl hot. Only grasp the mixing bowl by the handle or use kitchen gloves.
■ Scalding hazard due to hot steam and hot condensation! Please note that hot
steam is emitted from the mixing bowl lid while cooking. Be particularly careful when
removing the lid and when using the steamer unit.
■ Risk of injury associated with sharp blades! Never touch the blades of the cross-
blade adapter. Hold it on the top end when inserting and removing it.
■ Risk of damage due to insuffi cient cooling! Never place the motor unit on a soft
base. The vents on the bottom of the device must not be covered. Otherwise, the
device could be damaged.
■ Scalding hazard due to hot steam! There must be adequate clearance over the
device (to cupboards and cabinets) and on the sides in order to prevent any damage
from hot steam that is emitted.
■ The device may move! Please note that the entire device may, under certain cir-
cumstances, move when preparing doughs and chopping foods due to a resulting
imbalance in the mixing bowl. Therefore, set it up so that there is no risk of it falling
down from the work surface.
■ Do not overload the device! Do not prepare a solid dough in the device (e.g. yeast
dough) and do not prepare more than 500 g of dough. Only use the TURBO button
with brief interruptions to chop hard foods (e.g. ice cubes).
■ Overheating of the device! Never heat the empty mixing bowl!
■ Overheating of the device! At maximum speed (10) use the device continuously for
no more than 2 minutes without stopping. Then, let the device cool off for a short time
before using it again.
■ Risk of damage due to unforeseeable events! Never leave the device running
when unattended.
■ Do not overfi ll the device! Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum fi lling
capacity (MAX mark in the mixing bowl) so that the mixing bowl does not spill over!
■ Risk of damage due to incorrect use of the accessories! Before you use the de-
vice, make sure that all parts of the device are properly seated. Before you use the
device, read the chapter "Using the accessories properly".
■ Caution: build-up of germs! Immediately clean the mixing bowl and accessories
after use to prevent the formation of germs (see chapter "Cleaning").
• For reasons of safety, the device can only be switched on when the mixing
bowl is properly seated in the motor unit and the lid or steamer adapter is
locked.
• To save energy, the display switches to sleep mode if the device is not used
for approx. 5 minutes. All indicators will then go out. To switch the display
back on, push the

button.
