1 Release button (41)
Press to take a picture shown on the display and record
it in the camera memory.
Pressing this button halfway activates the auto-focus
function. The focus is locked upon a short beep.
Pressing this button further releases the shutter. The
photographed picture is compressed in JPEG format
and recorded in the camera memory.
This button is enabled in CAMERA mode (i.e., when
the PLAY/CAMERA switch is set to CAMERA).
Note
The auto-focus function may not work properly in any
of the situations below:
• The subject lacks enough contrast.
• The subject includes an extremely bright object.
• The subject has no horizontal line.
