9. Maintenance and Cleaning

Maintenance or repairs may only be performed by qualifi ed personnel or a specialist repair shop.
There are no components in the product that you need to maintain; therefore, never disassemble
it (apart from the steps described for installation and start-up in these instructions).
To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is suffi cient. Do not apply too much
pressure on the front glass or the housing, as this could cause scratching.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage the housing or even impair operation.
10. Troubleshooting
No camera image
• Set the monitor to the right input channel.
• Check the voltage/power supply to the camera.
• Check the camera's cable connections.
• If you use a long video cable, you should test it by connecting a test monitor or similar to the
camera using a shorter cable.
Use a high-quality video cable or an amplifi er if necessary.
Only black-and-white camera image
• Check the settings in the setup menu.
• At night, the camera automatically switches to a black-and-white image (at the same time, the
IR LEDs are activated). Colour is not possible is this case.
Image too bright
• Check the settings in the setup menu; if necessary, reset the camera to the factory settings.
• Do not point the camera at the sun or a light source.
• Select suitable settings from the setup menu, e.g. for the white balance, etc.
11. Disposal
Please dispose of the device, when it is no longer of use, according to the current statu-
tory requirements.
